OK Show
Went to this show with my wife of just 2 1/2 months at the time. We laughed about the opening of Cold Rain and Snow....."married me a wife, she's been trouble all of my life". Still married after 15 YRS. I use to love her but it's all over now (5th song that night).

17 1/2 hr drive for one show
My 2 buddies drove up to this one from NC just for this one show...great reason to see Boston! At the time, we were in college and "experimenting". We ended up buying bunk "paper" in the McDonald's across the street. Who knew blank paper could cost $500 for a 10 pack? Well, we were broke and sober that night (we learned our lesson), and headed into the show. The first thing that happened were Hell's Angel's kicking us out of our seats (the Angel's had fake tix, but I don't argue with those guys). I had to sit in the aisle the whole show and hear Jerry and the boys dedicate the most appropriate songs to us: Loser, All Over Now, Deal, Foolish Heart, I Fought the Law. My buddies and I could just laugh when those came on because of the crazy shananigan's that happened to us that day. After the show, we packed up our stuff in the Pontiac Grand Am and drove back to Carolina using Mom and Dad's credit card for gas and food. You know what? I still loved that night for the experience (one I'll never forget!!!) :)

Saturday Night in Beantown
This is my brother's first dead show, and we attended it together. I remember that this was a Rex Foundation benefit show, so expectations were very high. I remember it being a good show, but nothing compared to the Fall '94 run. I can still remember my brother during space, with that 'When will this end?' look on his face... Suddenly we heard the opening notes to The Wheel and all was well again. So I am downloading this one for personal reasons, but it's not a bad show. Look at the setlist. Cold Rain opener, Loser, what I remember as a solid Foolish Heart to open the second set, the aforementioned Wheel and Black Peter. Perhaps I am biased, but once I am done downloading, I will modify this review based on what I hear, not what I remember... I mean, memories from a Dead show?? Sometimes blurry at best... *LOL* I am giving this 3 stars based on my 'foggy' memory. Oh and one more thing. My brother and I literally bumped into then Governor of Massachusetts, Bill Weld on the way into the show, and he was wasted. And I mean WASTED! Slurring his speech, just a mess and hilarious! This is the same governor who flew the state flag at half mast when Jerry passed, so he is a true deadhead. Just funny to see him so messed up!
Ok, I have now gone and listened to a few songs all the way through, and scanned through the rest. First off, the sound is AMAZING. Phil is definitely on this night and very nice in the mix. Jerry's playing is definitely on again, off again but good overall, IMO. For instance, in Loser the solo is so sweet, but he screws up the lead in to the final 'Last fair deal in the country...' Somewhat typical for Fall of '93 I suppose. The Foolish Heart is really nice, but once again Jerry flubs the last verse pretty badly. This is one of those shows where Jerry will play something so sweet that will blow your mind one minute, and then do something that will leave you scratching your head the next. So, being someone who attended the show, I definitely think this is worth getting, but if I had never attended, I would probably save some HD space, stream the show and download my favorite tracks. I hope I don't sound negative. I am just trying to take the perspective of someone who has never heard this show before and hopefully help them decide whether or not to download it. I am sticking with my 3 stars as this show is good, just not great.
